My mom asked me to come on here and ask if anyone had a clue what these symptoms could be. She sees her docotor on thursday but was currious what it could be before she gets there.
Her hands shake, her balnace stinks, her memory stinks, and shes been having seizures.
Any ideas?

She's been having seizures? Has she gone to the ER?

I'm thinking she shouldn't be waiting until Thursday to see a doctor.

This is an emergency room situation. Not a situation that should wait IMHO.

Just chiming in with a vote for the ER. I would not wait to see a doctor in the event of a seizure.

Best of luck to you.

Those symptoms are serious enough that she doesn't need any speculation from a message board full of strangers. If you don't go to the ER, call her doctor tomorrow and ask (firmly) for an earlier appointment.

We wouldn't be waiting until Thursday, or for answers from an Internet message board. Go to the ER!

DH has a nurse at his office who called me one morning and said he had most of this going on-- couldn't stop his hands from moving, had fallen down the stairs (can't keep his balance) and then had fallen out of his chair. She'd sent him to Med Express and wanted me to know. His blood pressure was crazy, too.

We don't carry health insurance for DH so we went to the VA Clinic (who thought maybe he had a seizure and is why he fell out of his chair) and they looked at me and said,

"Get in the car, drive him to Clarksburg and take him to the ER tonight."
(Clarksburg=VA Hospital)

We were there all night- they drew blood, CT scan, etc. DH turned out OK, but...

It's serious enough symptoms that they NEED to get to an ER to make sure. Even the Dr. DH saw at the Clinic couldn't be sure w/o running tests!

She is having seizures and you are asking on an internet message board?

Get her to the ER NOW!

What exactly do you mean by seizure? Can you describe what happens when she has one/

Describe "seizures". What die she do during one of these seizures?

The other symptoms...did they start with the onset of the "seizures" or have they been going on for a longer period of time?

The other symptoms, without the seizures, sound Parkinson-like.

I would agree that if the seizures keep happening, a trip to the ER is warranted.

My sister (30) developed these symptoms in April of 2008. She has a very aggressive brain cancer (the tumor resulted in the symptoms).

Not that this is your mom's diagnosis, but you need to get her to professionals (ER) NOW!!

That's what I was thinking as well...
After each one (4 now over 6 months) shes been to the doc, is on anti seizure meds but has gotten the other symptoms over the past couple months. Shes been seizure free for almost two and a half months. They did a ct and a mri after the first seizure but that was almost 6 months ago. Shes just worried cause I too thought of a brain tumor.

Sorry to hear that...
