Help? whats wrong with mom?

Are you serious? Get to the ER PRONTO! That's not normal and it NEEDS to be checked out.

My sister (30) developed these symptoms in April of 2008. She has a very aggressive brain cancer (the tumor resulted in the symptoms).

Not that this is your mom's diagnosis, but you need to get her to professionals (ER) NOW!!

:wave2:
How is she doing, btw? My mom said she was having some bad mouth sores the last time I heard.

Has she been tested for Diabetes? My Pug had those symptoms, and she was diagnosed with Diabetes. I have no idea if human/canine symptoms are the same though.

shoot- disney freak. That makes sence. My grandma had simmlar syptoms back before she was diagonosed with diabeties. Humm have to tell mom that.

Her spirits are great. Her latest MRI showed that the tumor was the same size, unfortuantely it's got a new 'food' source with vessels that are feeding it. She meets with the neuro-oncologist on Thursday and they'll discuss new chemo options.

Thanks for asking

Hope all is well with you too!

After each one (4 now over 6 months) shes been to the doc, is on anti seizure meds but has gotten the other symptoms over the past couple months. Shes been seizure free for almost two and a half months. They did a ct and a mri after the first seizure but that was almost 6 months ago. Shes just worried cause I too thought of a brain tumor.

Glad to hear that it's more of a history of seizures rather than a new event. New event with sudden onset = ER (not asking our advice).

This my not be worth running to the ER tonight, but certainly call her Dr tomorrow so they're aware that this is flaring up for her again. All we can do is speculate and compare to our personal experiences. Obviously my personal experience isn't the rule, but unfortunately it's a possibility. (Though since your Mom already had CT and MRI scans, it's likely not a tumor for you)

Has she had bloodwork done to check the level of her seizure meds? Her levels might not be where they need to be. They could be too low or too high.

they raised her levels awile ago which is why we figure shes been seizure free for two months.
