We have been to Disney twice but never stayed onsite. We would really like to the next time we go. We would love some insight as to what is the best place overall(affordability, clean, fun, etc) We have 3 boys that will be ages 10,7 and 1 1/2. Please offer any opinions/pictures you have. THANKS!!!

Since your youngest is under 3 he doesn't really count as a "5th" person. That's when your options become limited.

The least expensive way to go would be the values. However my choice for you would be either Carribean Beach Resort (mod) or Wilderness Lodge (less expensive deluxe). CBR is the largest of the three mods giving you more space for the pack and play for your little one. They are also redoing the pool, so if your trip is after September 15, 2008 you will get (from what I hear) a great new pool to use. I also like the tropical feel to the resort. They also offer a pirate cruise for the kids which is really fun.

My other choice would be Wilderness Lodge. It is a little more expensive but you have the boat over to MK, Ft. Wilderness and the Contemporary and a deluxe resort complete with private balconies or patios, room service and indoor corridors.

Whatever way you go you will love staying onsite. Have fun planning!

First pick a rate per night you would like to be at...then which park you will be visiting most & finally I would decide how much resort time you plan on having during your stay.

I think you would love the WL. The kids will love it, plus you can request a room with a queen bed and bunk beds.

Thank you all so much for all of the great info. I really need the help in deciding where to go since , like I said, I'm new to the onsite stuff. I will check into all of the ideas you all have given me. Thank you so much once again and please keep the ideas coming.

You should go over to the Resort board. they ahve ALOT of good info.
For us, we like Value. We are on the go alot and don't need a fancy resort. We are going for our second stay at Pop Century. It is fun themed for kids, and clean, and affordable. My DH would have a fit if we spent that much mone yon the deluxes, so I'm left to waiting to win the lottery to go to one of them! LOL! But I really enjoy pop. I would liek to try one of the other Values sometime too, but I'm a creature of habit and just really liked pop alot last year. princess:

We've stayed at all levels (deluxe, mod, value). All of the WDW resorts are clean, FUN, and comfie. The value rooms may be too small for a family of 5, but it can be done!

On our last trip, we stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We LOVED it there. We got a free upgrade to a Savannah view room. What a treat. :) There is lots to do at this resort. And the pool is OUTSTANDING.

We stayed at the Contemporary before and nothing beats the quick trip to MK via the monorail. We had our dgd with us, and it was so easy to get on the monorail with the stroller. We would visit MK every morning at opening, leave in the afternoon for a break, and then head to a different park in the evening. The monorail makes it so easy and quick to leave in the afternoon.

When we stayed at POP, the kids just LOVED the resort. The food court had lots of choices, and the pool was great.

We also stayed in a cabin at Fort Wilderness. Now that was a FUN trip!! We all loved the cabin. That was a trip where we drove, so I had lots of food with us. I didn't really "cook" that trip, but we had lots of quick snacks and meals in our cabin. Lots to do at Fort Wilderness, too (for free!).
