Hi!

I found a good deal on Mousesavers for a SW Airlines package which saves us about $142pp. It includes airfare, tickets and hotel (Pop Century for us!).

My question is - if I book this through SW, how can I add dining?

Thanks!

Silly me...I did find the dining plan in the add-ons. But I'm assuming once I book it, if free dining comes out, I'm outta luck.

Anyone had any experience adding dining later with an airline package?

I don't have an answer to your question, but just want to caution you about SWA packages. I hope you crunched all the numbers because I've always found that SWA packages are more expensive than booking myself.

SW Vacations is operated for them by a third party vacation company. Generally there are penalties for changes, and a new Disney deal would be a different package code that could be a cancel/rebook scenario.

Check their terms & conditions, there is a link on their page, and see what changes or cancel/rebook would do to your reservation, even before your final payment date. Disney itself is very flexible with changes, most third party sites and vacation wholesalers are not once a deposit is on the booking.

FWIW, I have found SWV to be competatively priced from my area and sometimes at a savings since it's a different air fare structure they use for the packages. They usually have all the Disney promotions, BUT might not get every room type. And the % off rooms or FD deals have been listed separately from the normal package prices, the FD is a special package code for SWV with a separate inventory, not picked as an add on from the "features" menu. You'd have to change to FD as a "change hotel" function, not as a "change or add feature" one.

I don't think you mentioned when you would be traveling...do you have time to wait and see if Free Dining comes out, because if it does, SW will offer it too. We used SW Vacations on our past trip and got the Free Dining w/their package. I normally like to book everything myself, however, airfare was sooooo high for Feb, the SW Vacation actually worked out alot better. Like...if I bought the airfare separately through SW, it would have been $2400for my family (2A, 2C), however, when I priced out the SW package, it was $2700 for hotel (CBR) and airfare...(I know CBR didn't cost us $300 for 7 nights!) :rotfl: Then we got free dining as an add-on, and of course, the tickets.

Thanks for your comments! :)
