help!!!! Virgin Flight Price.....what to do??!!

I'm looking at October and need to be away over half term (which in sheffield next year starts 29/10) - - we're travelling with my DSis DBIL & DN who don't have any miles and this is their forst trip to Disney!!

At the moment we have OKW booked from 18/10 - 2 Nov. I have been looking at flight prices since the return leg was released and the prices have been silly for direct, indirect not really that good either!!

Anyway checked Virgin tonight and at the minute and can get M&M for £539 and just cash for £609 - we're travelling with my DSis DBIL & DN who don't have any miles - it would mean changing our dates with Disney but don't think this would be an issue (but do need to check)

So averaging all 5 flights out coming to c£550 each for direct. I'm thinking these might not come down in the upcoming sale much but then knowing my luck......

I know if I'm happy with the price and all that advice but What to you experienced DISers think?? Should I bite the bullet and book....or wait and see with the sales??!!

wish I had a crystal ball - anyone have a view on this price?!

I personally don't think the virgin prices will drop for those prime half term dates.

In 2011 Virgin prices for those dates stayed high.

Some people wont fly anything but indirect and October half term is extremely popular. They know they will sell them even at the high price.

We were supposed to go 18th October in 2012 but i've changed to Monday 22nd to monday 5th November.

Booked indirect flights from Manchester last night - Delta via Atlanta. Decent flight times. Cost £1500 for the 3 of us which I'm happy with.

We flew indirect this year and it was fine.

Is that from London? Manchester were alot dearer when I checked with virgin for those dates. Price sounds great for school hols and direct.

That was my thought re the dates - these flights are out 23/10 back 6/11 or 7/11. We've need to change our dates but sure that won't be an issue. I'm reckoning this price is OK??!

Yes I think price is fine for direct. You should be fine to change the dates at OKW.

I can understand you wanting direct travelling with first timers.

Will definitely be easier......plus my nephew desperately wants to fly Virgin! Assuming that there would be no admin fee to change OKW and we would be able to keep 'free dining' (even though offer no longer available?!)

Is the accomodation booked through disney? If so there will be an administration charge per change NOT per person.So if its dates will be £50. I think Im right someone may correct me on this.

Hotel booked with Disney UK and this has all been changed, kept free dining and $150 gift card and bonus....no fee to change as price is exactly same! I did ask about fee and was told as long as price stays same or is more then no fee, only if price falls do Disney charge.
