I know you will the answer for me :). So I'm so budget conscious, I don't have a GPS, but I have an ATT Go phone Fusion 2 which has a GPS receiver. I've never used it. I have data turned off. I only use wifi. My question is...can I use the GPS setting without using data? I think it's set up to use ATT Navigation with it.?.?.?
Thanks.

I'm not familiar with the Fusion 2, but, in general, the GPS in a phone will require data. The maps are not stored anywhere on the phone, so those have to be downloaded. Unless you just want to see your current latitude and longitude coordinates, you'll need data.

Can the maps be down loaded onto the SD card via wifi and then accessed when traveling without using data?

That can be an option on some phones, but it will cost you up-front. Last I checked, maps in that format cost $80 to $120. Any you only have rights to that version of the map. The benefit of using data is that, when roads are build and maps are updated, you always get the latest version.
