The Contemporary is the worst for transportation ease if you are visiting the parks evenly
We are celebrating our40th wedding anniversary and taking a trip to Europe in June and a trip to disneyworld in November. We got quotes from that
travel agency I will not mention port orleans riverside 6 nights with 5 day park hopper passes for 2230 standard room,3400 for contemporary and 3600 for beach club.we will visit all parks equally. Transportation ease is a priority and access to all parks. Which would you all choose and why. Thankyou in advance
The Contemporary is the worst for transportation ease if you are visiting the parks equally. It is very easy to get to Magic Kingdom and very difficult to get anywhere else. You have to trasfer monorail to get to Epcot, making the trip 30 minutes when for other hotels it is under 15 minutes by bus, and you get an extra long bus ride, near 30 minutes to go to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, when most other hotels only take 15 minutes or less. This is partly because The area near Magic Kingdom has narrow roads and lots of traffic, so just getting out and in take a while. Transportation is easier if you use Lyft instead of Disney transportation. Furthermore, going to Epcot by monorail means you will have your bags searched TWICE, once for getting on the monorail and once for entering Epcot.
Riverside has 4 bus stops, so the buses have to circle around before leaving the hotel. Other than that, it is easy access to all the parks and has a boat to Disney Springs.
At Beach Club you can walk to Epcot in 5 minutes and to Hollywood Studios in 20 minutes, or you can take the boat to both, taking about as long (the boat is really slow). Magic Kingdom is about 15 minutes by bus and Animal Kingdom 10 minutes by bus. Disney Springs is about 14 minutes.
So the winner, in terms of transportation ease given equal visits to all places, is definitely Beach Club or its neighbor hotels.
I don't know why your Contemporary trip is priced lower than Beach Club. Normally Contemp is more expensive, comparing similar rooms.
