Help understanding the point charts?

How do they determine the days...

For example when looking at the Boardwalk Villas point chart. I see that to stay in a standard studio during the adventure season, it has 3 different point values...

Sun-Thurs 9
Fri-Sat 20
Weekly 85

So basically what does "weekly" mean? Is that 7 nights? If I wanted to check in on a Sunday and check out on Thursday (4 nights) could I stay for 36 points 4x9?

Could you break it down for me if I wanted to stay for 10 days checking in on a Saturday and checking out 10 nights later on a Tuesday?

Basically a week is a whole week stay from which ever day you want ie 5 x Sun-Thur points and 2 x Sat-Sun points, which equals the 85 points. If you wanted a 10 night stay from Saturday it would be 20 + 9 + 9 + 9 + 9 +9 + 20 + 20 + 9 + 9 = 123 points.

Yes you can stay for just the 4 nights for the lower points or even 1 night if you wanted. Others have explained about how the points are calculated.

Erin, you can enter your dates and villa type in the DVC points charts (see at the top of the page) and find out exactly how many you need. In case the week you want has some non-adventure season days in it.

The points you have chosen are BWV Standard View studio. The standard view comprises about 20% of the total number of villas, so they go quickly to members at BWV. If you don't own BWV, the chances of getting that view could be harder to get for you.
