Help! Looking to do a night or two away in September (Fri & Sat) with my Husband and two young (under 3) daughters.... Looking at Portland Maine but a price for a suite is quite a bit ... Anyone know of any discount codes?

If you have AAA you can use that at Hampton Inn.

You can also use AAA at the Residence Inn. I have found AAA discounts to be good at Marriotts.

Homewood Suites in Portland has King 1BR suites for $179, including full breakfast. I lived at Homewood Suites for five months, so I am kinda partial.

I don't have AAA so that price is definitely more in line with what I want to spend! Is Homewood nice? Usually we do weekly cabin/condo rentals as opposed to hotels. I looked at the pictures and it looks good - now to find out what days my husband can get off from work! Thanks everyone!

I've never been to that particular Homewood, but I have been to several in the chain in different states and found that they have high standards. If you go on weekdays, dinners are included in the price!

There will be a pullout sofa in the living room and and full kitchen. Can your kids sleep on the sofa?

I've never been to that particular Homewood, but I have been to several in the chain in different states and found that they have high standards. If you go on weekdays, dinners are included in the price!

Not sure where my 3 year old would sleep - we are actually working on transitioning her from a mattress on the floor to a bed. My other daughter just turned 1 and would be in a crib or pack and play... I did check out reviews on the Homewood suites in Portlans and it looks nice and clean and it has great reviews!

So I wanted to thank everyone - just narrowing down the dates to see what the best deal is. Thanks!
