I need something that will help to clean grout.... I have Kaboom (haven't tried it yet) just wanted to see what everyone uses on thier grout ( floor tile) Thanks

The most effective thing I've ever done to re-whiten/clean the grout on my tiled bathroom floor is, sadly, also the most time consuming.

Bleach, gloves, cheap/old toothbrush, scrubbing/brushing w/ the toothbrush, blotting away the dirty liquid w/ a clean paper towel...

If your floor is as cold as mine is, :rotfl: get ready for a REALLY cold derierre!:rotfl:

In all seriousness though, I have yet to find a product that does it- the only thing I've found is hard labor, no quick fixes...

Upside of this is that the bathroom will be comletely clean after that!

This is the only thing I have found too that gets grout white again, bleach, a toothbrush, hard work and a lot of time.

This is why my grout looks more like the color of dirt than the color is was meant to be :rotfl:

I just spray Clorox cleanup, wait a couple of minutes and wipe with a sponge.

Try Scrubbing Bubbles -- yes, the bathroom cleaner. Spray it on, let it sit a few minutes, wipe off with damp cloth. Use a brush for really dingy grout.

There is also a gel called "Grout and Tile Cleaner" that works, but it's much messier and takes longer, but if the grout is really bad, you might need to use that.

Just wondering -- did you seal it with a grout sealer when it was put in? They make different kinds of sealers -- some of them have to be re-applied every year or two. If you're not sure, next time you clean it, seal it with a 30-year grout sealer. I think it'll keep it's color longer if it's been sealed, and when you clean it after that, I think the color will end up looking better. Just a thought!

I was just coming to post this! :thumbsup2
Make sure you leave the room & ventilate while it's working.

Finazzle!!

I used this a couple of years ago to restore the grout in three bathrooms of the house we used to live in.

It works super fast and easy. Absolutely amazing. Once you start, you'll want to do all your tile.

At the time I bought mine at Home Depot. Finazzle.com shows store locators. I can't recommend it enough.

Zap!

The stuff is amazing! Just be sure to test an area b/c it is pretty harsh. It requires no scrubbing at all. Just squirt it on and watch it foam then wash it off. Whatever you do, do not use it on natural stone, marble, slate, etc.
