Help! Spyware guard 2008

I have gotten this virus on my computer. Can anyone help me remove this? I have Norton. I am so aggravated. Is there a free way to remove spyware guard, or can someone reccomend a good removal thing for me to buy, or should I just give up and take the computer to get repaired? There is a windows security center that keeps installing it on my computer.

Try the Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware program it usually helps clean up spyware and malware.

get rid of Norton - virus and spyware target Norton specifically and its rubbish! Remove it completely from your computer.

download AVG free antivirus 2008, its the best, and it will sweep your system for spyware and remove. However - if your registry is infected with spyware you may need to reformat your hard drive ..... get advice on that from a professional.

also download Spybot search and destroy to run quick fix scans.

I use AVGFree and Lavasoft Ad-Aware to keep my PC clean. I had a trojan that had tip-toed past McAfee when I used to use it, but AVG found it right away!

You might wanna start your pC in safe mode, and then run it. Easier when you need to do removal and cleanups, that way.

After youre done with that, I second what everyone else says. Get rid of Norton. It's junk.

Thank you everyone for all your help! We are back up and running. I reloaded windows and started from scratch.

If this pops back up again, you might try Superspyware. We did after trying three others and it found a ton of stuff. In fact, I have four malware programs (three running) and the evil Norton on my PC right now. It's a wonder that this poor old PC can do anything!

That Spyware Guard garbage popped up on DW's computer today. Norton did not catch it. I used the the Anti-Malware and scrubbed it off. That does seem to be one nasty bugger.

A good friend found it on her boyfriend's computer after it was borrowed by his ex. Nothing got rid of it and it is costing her $300 to get it removed by a professional!
