Okay. The only time I let DD7 take her WDW spray mister bottle out of the house without supervision, she lets her 4-year-old best friend use it in the pool. I was hoping that it didn't get wet, but my guess is that the whole thing got submerged.

Is there any hope to try to fix it? If so, what can I do? Other than letting her purchase another one out of her spending money, which right now would use it all up.

Any advice will be most helpful.

Try taking tha batteries out, if you havent already done so, and either letting it airdry for 48 hours, or use your blow dryer to dry it out. My kids submerged ours in the bathtub, and the blow dryer worked for us. After you dry it our, wait a day, then try brand new batteries. If that doesn't work, the motor might be fried. Hope this helps.:laundy:

Unfortunatley, I think that the motor is just fried. This happened a few weeks ago, and even though I let it run for a while to hopefully keep the motor from freezing up, but it didn't work.

There was a bit of rust on some of the contacts. I'm going to take a page from my dad's fix it book - spray it with WD40. It seems to work for everything!

Otherwise, we'll just be purchasing a new one when we get there. I tried finding some via the web, and with shipping a plain one would be just a couple of dollars short of what we'd pay at WDW. Oh well - live and learn, I guess!

Didn't I read somewhere on the boards that you can take them back for a replacement if they break? You know, like if you are at the parks and they cease functioning? I guess in this situation, it might be a little dishonest, but it might be something to think about.
