OK...I need some help on this one. I have priced out vacation 20 different ways and find it hard to think this one is for real...

On Southwest vacations, I put in our days (July 28-Aug 3), picked out flight, picked out hotel (POP Standard) and the special they gave was a 4/3 with a gift card. Pricing it piece by piece it was like 100.00 cheaper, but not with the giftcard...

Does this sound legit to anyone? Can't find the gift card extented to July anywhere else, or am I just missing something??>

Help calm me down...please?!?!?:scared1:

I have not ever book a Disney vacation through Southwest (I always book through Disney directly). The only thing I can speak to is that if you decide to go piece by piece, you would get a MUCH better price by booking the room with Disney using the 25% off discount.

Feel free to come back and ask more questions!
Hope this helps a little.:wizard:

I just wanted to let you know that Disney extended the gift card offer and you can book it directly thru the Disney site.

I also looked at the Southwest package and priced it out in comparison to booking air alone on Southwest then booking room and tickets through Disney. It is cheaper to book the room thru Disney.
To compare apples to apples, I took what was available thru SW: 1 standard room at Pop 7/28-8/3 for 2 adults and 2 kids (7&3) with 7 day park hoppers. The room & tickets thru Disney is $1858.90 and airfare was $1007.60 for a total of $2860.50. The southwest package was $2892.07. Both options come with the $300 gift card.

The nice thing about booking directly through Disney is you are able to make changes such as electing not to have park hoppers (not sure if you need them or not), fewer ticket days, adding the dining plan, etc.

Just for kicks I priced out the same thing using the room only discount and buying tickets through Undercover Tourist using the Mousesavers discount: air $1007.60, room only discount $628, tickets $1063.80 = $2699.40. I'd take the gift card.

HTH! :wizard:

Thanks so much for calming me down! It has made my decision for me...POP here we come!

Thanks again!
