Help Solve a Wedding Debate

I'm a bride right now and no one questioned my colours at all ... I didn't really contemplate the season I guess it kinda works. But if I wanted a Green and Red wedding in July I doubt people would care.

What the bride says goes as several have said. I think orange will be refreshing and unique in Decembe ! All the best for their wedding.

Oh and my colours are turquoise and black and white damask pattern (its on the girl's dresses) Black isnt a wedding colour per say but I like it just the same

I think the inspiration board is gorgeous! She should do what she wants, especially since her DFi is happy/indifferent and ignore everyone else!!

Me neither, and my wedding turned out pretty darned beautiful, if I do say so myself! (we got married in 1992.)

And the bride (and groom) should choose whatever colors they like. IMO, it's the weight of the fabric and the textures that say more about the season anyway. The photos on her inspiration board are beautiful, no matter the season.

My niece had orange and brown for her wedding and it was pretty. The bridesmaids wore brown dresses with orange roses. Their wedding was in September though.

I think the orange with the grey is a good mix. I like the color of the fur coat on the bride on the inspiration board. The tuxes could be similar to that shade.

If you have to go with "seasonal" colors, when would you use black and pink? My best friend's daughter is getting married in June and she is having the bridesmaids wear black with pale pink roses for the bouquets.

Me either, and I keep picturing these women lugging around a huge poster board presentation and an easel when the go out shopping for wedding stuff

OP, I love orange, not all oranges but that bridesmaid dress that someone posted is beautiful and would definitely work in December. Your friend's inspiration board is just as beautiful and if thats what she wants, she should go for it.

I love the inspiration board idea. It's great to have when you meet with the florist and wedding designer or wedding planner. Wish I had had one back in 1981. I can tell you that I'll make one for my daughter when she decides to marry.
It's like the inspiration boards when building or decorating a house- those are great too!

I hadn't either! But I guess I'm not up on a lot of new things. There is another thread where they are having a freakin tea or or so it seems with all the people getting invited to the first GYN appt for a pregnancy.

to heck with those trying to talk her out of it, it shouldn't matter where or what time of year your wedding is occuring, you can chose whatever color scheme you want. The idea that you shouldn't chose certain colors just because of whatever season it is seems completely ridiculous to me. As long as the bride likes it and the groom is on board as well, then that's all that matters.

ETA: I love her inspiration board! If she does something similar to that, it will be a very cute wedding!
