We are joining friends for part of our trip and decided to eat at Ohana together.

She called to make the reservation for us. She really wanted to eat at Ohana because of the food and because she read somewhere there is a show during dinner.

So when she called she was told we couldn't be in the main dining room to see the show because that would cost us 2 TS (we are on the free dining plan) but they could put us in a room off the main dining for 1TS.

I am confused. I didn't realize there was even a show at Ohana during dinner and Ohana isn't listed as a 2 TS restaurant on the brochure.

Does any of this sound odd?
Help!

And Thank you.

It sounds like she asked about the Spirit of Aloha luau show, not 'Ohana.

While 'Ohana does have dinner entertainment, and it is in one room vs. another, it is the luau that has various Tiers of seating (Tier 1, 2, 3 - but all in one big pavilion - tiers just determine how far back you are from the action) and it has different rules about when you can use DDP, Tables in Wonderland, and which shows/where you sit. I'm guessing maybe she used the wrong terminology when calling about it, or had a very confused CM?

O'Hana is definitely a 1TS meal. There isn't really a show, but they do some fun stuff with kids and instruments and there is a guy who plays the ukulele. Maybe your friend is confusing O'Hana with the Polynesian luau.

The dinner show is not at Ohana. It is at the Poly and it is two credits (just like the Hoop dee doo at Fort Wilderness campgrounds) If she got a ressie for Ohana, that's great. It is a family style dinner and always tough to get ADRs for. Very popular.

Thank you all for your replies.

I was beginning to think she got a reservation for Spirit of Aloha instead of Ohana.

I was able to confirm the reservation online and it is for Ohana- what we wanted.
I am glad to know that Ohana isn't a 2TS meal.

I do have one more question.....

Does Ohana have a fee charged to the CC if the reservation is not canceled within 48 hours?

Remember if its ;Spirit of Aloha" it is closed on Sunday"s & Monday's . I think ..
