HELP!! room 6586

I've been reading these threads for quite sometime, and have noticed alot of people asking about noisy rooms, and every response was "nice and quiet" so I figured, why bother. Well, I went and bought the trusty "passporter guide" tonight and it says to stay away from room 6588, because it was across from the laundry room. Well we're right next door to 6588, were 6586! Is this going to be a noisy room? Should I call my T/A and have her try to move us to a different room? We already received our docs!!! Please advise!!!!

I didn't have that room, but I had a room across from the laundry facilities on another deck, and there wasn't any noise problem.

Thanks for the quick reply. After some other research on these threads I did find out that the only problem is the Heat and humidity in the hall, but supposedly does not get into the room, and crowding problems during the formal nights and later in the cruise. I think it may cause more problems for me to switch at the last minute because we already have our docs and booked excusions. I'm just glad to be able to be going on this cruise, and at least I won't have to walk a half a mile to do some laundry if needed. If it is a problem, I certaintly will let my T/A know.

I just called today and switched our room after reading this! Many thanks. We were originally in 6587 (right beside the laundry room) and now we're down the hall a bit in 6599 (beside a utility closet!).

I was told that there haven't been complaints about the noise, but I agree that there are likely to be crowds etc. Thanks for the heads up!

We're on the Dec 6 Western.

Can't remember what rooms we were in, but we have done 2 DCL cruises, both on deck 6 (verandah). One time we were across from the laundry room and had no problems with noise. In fact, it was great to be able to peek out our door and see if the ironing boards or washing machines were available without walking down the hall with our clothes and then finding out that there is "no room at the Inn". We are in Cabin 6582 on our next cruise (10/2/04), and I am happy that we are not too far away from the laundry room. I consider the location to be a real advantage!

Yes, after thinking about it, having kids; this would be an advantage. Being able to drop some clothes in, if needed and going back to your room and sitting on the verandah with cocktail in hand!!

Sounds like quite a few of us are on Deck 6 for this cruise. We can just yell over our verandah's at eachother!!!

We stayed in 6586 on our last cruise and didn't have any problems. I thought the room was great I had to do laundry twice while on the cuise. If I woke up in the morning it was nice to walk across the hall to put a load of laundry in the wash. I didn't mind because the washers were free 4 years ago. I would go back to my room have coffee on the veranda and relax until it was time to up my wash in the dryer. We are staying in room 6580 on our 11/29 cruise.

I have 4 days before we leave for WDW
