Hey all! DH and I are coming up on our "no kid" trip on 11/30. I need something romantic/special for him! I'm no good at stuff like this (I'm not the romantic type, really....).

We're packed schedule-wise (and tight $$ wise) so a Wishes Cruise or private dining experience isn't really in the cards....

Any suggestions????

Try a romantic walk on the Poly beach during Wishes.

Stay in the MK until closing...wait for most of the crowd to leave, and then slowly stroll down Main Street hand-in-hand.

If the budget will allow it, try the horse and carriage ride at SSR, or one of the other resorts that offers that service. I'm not sure of the price, but the last time I looked I thought it was fairly reasonable.

DH & I always enjoy a late evening stroll around World Showcase in EPCOT (well given there is an extra magic hour and it is open later), with a glass of wine from France or Italy. Also the Boardwalk is very pretty with all the lights lit up in the evening.

Enjoy your trip!

... a little snuggling under a blanket while watching a disney classic movie by firelight at fort wilderness? free. well, unless you splurge on a smores kit. then it costs you about five bucks. :thumbsup2

... a little hammock time at the poly or the carribean beach, while you catch fireworks? already mentioned but very worth considering. free. byo..whatever you like. pirate:

... cocktail hour in the lobby of the grand floridian - music included? it's pretty, discreet, and free. cocktails not included. :flower3:

... a late-night ride through a less-popular classic? i recommend the ttc/peoplemover. even teenagers can figure out what's fun about this one. ;)

... walking hand-in-hand along the path from toontown to tomorrowland in MK? it's a nice quiet stroll especially in the evenings.

... mini golf? it's not free but it isn't expensive either (especially if you have one of the coupons) and it lends itself to togetherness - 'coaching'

... karaoke at the swan? buy a drink each and spend time singing stupid love songs to each other - the sappier the better!

... 'impressions de france' - trust me, the cms there totally support romance. follow it with a shared pastry/coffee snack. :cloud9:

Romance on a budget is not really difficult...we do it all the time.
HTH!

On a trip to Disneyland last year my husband and I found that we really enjoyed the fountain area at the Disneyland resorts. That was free too. I am sure there are some gorgeous ones at Disney World too. There is something very relaxing about the sound of splashing water.

this is your BWV/VWL trip - right?

VWL

okay - then walking to FW.

riding the boat to FW and CR. (the little one)

just enjoy both lodges main floor. people watching! Enjoying the fireplace in both places.

at VWL playing one of the games!

walking about VWL/WL and just enjoying each other company.

at BWV
walking about the BW at night.
watching a movie at BW or BC - find out where it will be that week - think it is only one night.
playing the games along the BW - not too expensive - see what he can win for you or vr
enjoying the quiet pool or hot tub with your own drink - either you make it (be sure to pack plastic cups) or get one from the pool bar - again not too expensive.
find the place at BW - close to where the boats are - a bench - it is placed so you can see the fireworks over the Mk, as well as Epcot fireworks!!!:woohoo:

DW and I enjoy a afternoon walk from Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness. The EMH at night is nice to do with the darkness and the lights on.
