I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to ask about this but I figure someone here might be an II member!

I am not a member of II (obviously or I wouldn't be here asking questions! lol) but I have access to the "Getaways" II offers through a relative. She is super busy and not easily reached so I'm hoping someone here can help me out with some questions!

Can I book two "Getaways" at the same time? Example, one for me and one for another family travelling with me at the same time? (we're a large group neededing 4 bedrooms, nobody wants to sleep on a pull out and it seems like 4 bedrooms are rare in Orlando).

Are these Getaways strictly one week? Or can you add a few nights? I'm guessing no but thought I'd ask anyway. :)

Thanks in advance!!

I've heard II has a limit of 12 Getaways a year. But I don't know for sure if they actually stick to it or not. I do know that if you're not the owner on the II account that you now have to purchase a $39.00 guest certificate per Getaway week (since last fall). Getaways are always for a week (7 days). If you want to add on some extra cash nights, you'll have to book it directly through the resort. I've had family/friends do this and the resort linked the two reservations. They paid more for the separate nights than they did for the Getaway week, though.

you don't want to pay the price for a 4-bedroom be alot more than twice 2-bedrooms.

get some Marriotts if you can.

otherwise Sheraton Vistana (both of them) are nice.

Cypress Pointe is also now II as well as RCI.

DVC generally don't get to getaways.

Yeah, I haven't even found many four bedrooms. We're travelling with 4 adults, 2 seniors and 3 kids (ages 4, 5, 6). I've found lots of places that can accommodate 9 people, but someone would end up sleeping in a twin bed or on a sleeper sofa. Not our idea of a great way to vacation!

We're definitely going to book two seperate units (whether we do it through II getaways or not).

I'd LOVE to stay at a DVC but they are way out of our budget! The Marriott's look amazing though, especially Horizon's. Their pirate pool looks like so much fun! And it seems to get consistently good reviews.

Thanks for your help everyone! :)
