HELP ....Please

Hi all,

I am trying to decide whether to get the Visa Travellers cheque card this year for my trip to SSP or just go for conventional cash and normal travellers cheques.
Can anyone help?
My local travel agents is recommending the card but I am not sure about where you can use it or how it works.

Any advice from fellow DVC members would be gratefully received

I'm fairly sure that I read on here a while back that the TC Card had been stopped.

I'd go with cheques anyway - you can lose a card quite easily!!!

If its an American Express card badges as a Visa card (like the Natwest one was) then the programme has stopped and Amex are giving people back the moeny they had on the cards at the rate it was applied at.

I'm fairly sure that I read on here a while back that the TC Card had been stopped.

It was the AMEX version that has been stopped.

The cards work the same way as a credit card but you load them with cash and cannot overdraw them. You can use them in shops which accept visa or withdraw $$$ from the atm(there is a charge for this and it is around $3-$4 I think). You have to be careful to keep a record of what you spend as not to loose track.

It really depends what you prefer
