Help please!! I've booked our airline because it was the best rate I could find. We, DD 17 and I, will be there August 20-27 at the All Stars. Many questions: which All Star should we pick: main concern is the bus stop: the closer the better. And should we split the ressie to take advantage of the discounted rate as of August 24, or wait for codes, or just pay full rate to save the hassle...... or what? Please help a very stressed mom!!!!!

I have no experience with the Allstars but have split my stay between resorts during two different trips. I love splitting my stay. It gives me an opportunity to try each resort and gives us something to look forward too. I will recommend, however, if you do that to stay at the nicer resort last or you will be disappointed with the lesser resort.

Definitely try to get a discount with codes. It is worth it. Persistence pays off as demonstrated time & again on these boards. Call, call call!!!

Let us know what you choose & have fun! :smooth:

Hi there...

Congrats on booking.. it is exciting to be planning a trip!

Since you have your airfare confirmed - you may as well go ahead and book one of the Allstars for the whole time - just so you know you are set.

Then don't worry about it anymore... just plan your trip and watch and wait, if something turns up - like an great deal at the moderate or deluxes for th 24th - on - then you can change you reservation - it is no problem to do this.

Also you may get your rate reduced for the allstars part.

If hanging out at the resort is a big part of your trip then a split stay is a good thing - you get to try 2 places and physical switching part is not difficult.

If you plan to be hitting the parks constantly - then I would stick with one resort.

I have not stayed at Allstars but many people seem to love Sports & Movies...

Have fun planning and RELAX... this is all good thing!

Splitting you stay would be up to you. If you want to try another resort, and since there are only 2 of you, I would say give it a try.

As for the Allstars, they all have excellent bus service and all buildings are close the thier respective stop.

I would recommend Sports because that is the first of the 3 resorts for bus stops. Usually, though, you'll get a direct ride.
We liked the touchdown section section(7 & 10)

Goodluck.

Thanks for the suggestions folks! I decided to just go ahead and book the All Star Movies for the whole week. I'll be watching for any discount codes until we leave though!!

I wasn't clear in my first post about the ressie split. What I meant was should I make two separate reservations at the ASMo, one for the beginning of our stay and one for the end when the value rates kick in on August 24th? But that means having to check out and back in, and maybe switch rooms, so we'll take our chances with waiting for a discount!

Surprisingly all of the preferred rooms were already booked, so I requested the Toy Story Buzz building. Anyone stayed there??

Oh!

Yes well I have done that before... when I was staying at AKL Aug 23 - Sep 1... I booked one night at the higher rate and all the other nights at the value rate..

Only problem is - and it is silly - they make you check out and check in again.. you get to keep the same room - but you need to settle your bill for the first part and re register for the next part - quite often you get new keys..

We stayed in Woody building last May. We were very pleased. It is close to the pool, food court and buses. We were on the third floor facing the parking lot, but it was quiet.
