Please help me!!

When I was at Epcot in 1988 I remember a show where fruits and vegatables would sing and dance. All I can remember from the song is "veggie fruit fruit / veggie veggie fruit fruit".

Then yesterday when I was viewing someone's beautiful pictures I think I saw pictures of it.

I was just there the last week in Jan and never saw it. Then again I didnt remember until just last night.

Does anyone know what I am talking about?
Can anyone shed some light on my faded memories?

Thanks!!!! :worship:

I think you mean "Food Rocks" that was in the Land Pavilion. When Soarin' came in it was removed.

I did feel kinda old having to explain some of the characters like "Pita Gabriel" "The Peach Boys" and others.

Airtime was right!!!!!

It was the Kitchen Kabaret!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figured it was gone.

Now just a memory of my youth.

Thank you so much for helping me to remember!!!!

This may help with your memories.

We actually saw Bonnie Appetit during our Backstage Magic tour in October 2005. We also saw the "cat-bat" figment from the original Journey Into Imagination.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SITE!!! :worship:
IT ALL CAME FLOODING BACK TO ME!!!!!!!!!!

I wish it was still around. I thought my girls would get a kick out of it.

But I guess Epcot has to follow the "carosel of progress" as well. :wizard:

Thanks so much for taking the time to provide me with the info.

"Kitchen Kabaret" and "Food Rocks" apparantly were putting people to sleep...I liked it, however......but it's okay, because Soarin' basically took its place!! :)

I still have the character veggie stuffed animals, I loved the show so much I promised my parents that they would not have to buy me another souvenier the rest of the trip if they would please buy the broccoli, cauliflower and carrot! Hmmmm wonder if they are worth anything?

Kitchen Kabaret (veggie, veggie, fruit, fruit) was one of my favorites "back when." Then it became Food Rocks (mid-90's maybe). Now that's where Soarin' is.

I never saw Food Rocks but the show audio comes on from time to time on different Live365 stations. It sounded pretty fun, I wish I would have gotten a chance to see it.

MickiNicki that is so funny about the stuffed veggies ;) I loved the show also and still have refridgerator magnets of the characters. That catchy samba, "veggie, veggie, fruit, fruit" is almost as bad as IASW for trying to get it out of your head once it takes hold :rotfl2:
