Help Please, New to Magic Bands, etc.!

OK Disney friends, can you keep it simple and help me with some planning. We are big disney and disney cruise fans. But, haven't taken a big disney world vacation in years. Before magic bands! And, Disney Experience. Also, this time we are a bigger group, 6, as we are taking our DD's and their significant others. Never did friends/boyfriends or husbands. My older daughter did a magic band and disney experience last year and she'll do a lot for us. But, my younger dd and I are lost.

We have DVC rooms booked and the four of their park tickets bought. Next weekend I can do ADR's. How do you setup your disney experience, how do you link everything to your magic bands, how and when do you order your magic bands. Also, if you buy a custom band is it just a shell that goes over the one disney sends you. If not, how do you link that?

Lastly, my husband and I will probably get annual passes. So, we will have a free photo pass, can we link all 6 of us so we will have all of their pictures in one place. Appreciate your patience and help! Thank You!

MDE is just your account. There's nothing special about it but that they named it.

You don't connect anything to bands. The band's will be on your account if staying onsite (or you buy them), if you bought tickets directly whole logged into your account you have the ability to link them to people. The reservation is or can be linked to your account.

Everything is linked to the account. Once you have mbs and are there, the bands are read to get the info on your account.
