Calling all experts! :worship: I poured over all the info on the WL thread re: room locations & categories. I booked through AAA a courtyard room for 3/15-3/22. Based on what I read here I emailed my agent today to ask her to put on the ressie that I'd like an inner courtyard northside room so we can have a lake view on an upper floor. I also told her I understood they could not guarantee it, but at least I'd like my request noted. This is the response she sent back:

"As far as the room request, you paid for a courtyard view. The lake view is under the water view rates. The odds of you getting a lake view would be slim unless you paid for an upgrade."

Is that correct ? I don't remember even seeing that as a category when I was looking into booking directly through the Disney site.

If she's correct are all the courtyard rooms pool views? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :cheer2: :jumping1: pixiedust:

I can't speak from experience because I have never been there but I do know that I was pricing packages on the Disney booking site today and for WL I was only given four choices- Woods View, Woods View w/ bunk beds, Courtyard View, Courtyard w/ Bunk beds.

Here is the courtyard view description straight from the Disney site

All rooms have two queen-size beds or one king-size bed, table and chairs, writing table, ceiling fan, private balcony or patio, vanity area with two sinks, and bath. Courtyard View Rooms offer a view of the pool, a waterfall, or the lake. Non-smoking and disabled-accessible rooms are available. Amenities include in-room wall safe, voice mail and hairdryer. Iron and ironing board, coffeemaker, mini-bar and refrigerator are available upon request.

Well she doesn't know about the Lodge...There are no bookable Water View Rate Rooms. Your request is correct, ask her to please just have what you requested added to your reservation: Inner Courtyard, North Wing upper floor.

Yes she is correct all the Courtyard View Rooms have a view of one of the pools, that's why you are requesting Inner Courtyard because the main feature pool with a slide, Silver Creek Springs Pool is located in the middle of the Lodge. The pool is also located next to Bay Lake so you will also have a vew of Bay Lake.

Magic is right if you don't request Inner Courtyard View they may assign you to a room overlooking the Hidden Springs Pool toward the Villas. There are no water view rates.

Thank you!! :worship: :cheer2: I think I'll just call the reservation line myself. I have the confirmation #. I'm not sure I trust her to do what I ask now. If you want something done right do it yourself! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Your TA "owns" your reservation and it the only one who should be able to make changes to it, so it's quite possible you'll need her to add this request. May be time to educate her on the room view options at WL ;) .

Have a good trip, we enjoyed staying at WL last sumer!
