HELP Please!! DVC has my $3000 held hostage

I finally pulled the plug on a booking for a cancelled cruise that I had booked and paid for about 2 years ago. The $5000 was refunded to my credit card within a week. They can just refund your credit card. They knew exactly how much I paid for the cruise - it also had FCC wrapped up in the booking also. No special department was contacted. I called Costco, who got DCL on the line.
There is a difference between a cash cruise you booked through Costco and a point/cash cruise booked through DVC

I know there is. The PP stated since the cruise was booked so long ago, it was hard to get a cash refund and another department had to get involved to send out a paper check.

I was simply replying that didn’t happen to me and I cancelled a cruise booked over 2 years ago.

Not directly related, and not as much $$ by far, but DVC kept some of my $$. I had booked a reservation using points, but also purchased some points to complete reservation. It was cancelled from Covid, rebooked and I puchased a few more points and cancelled again (covid, not by me). At that point they told me those purchased points would be expiring (?) and would need to be refunded. It was about $350? I never really kept track. (Which is completely on me). Apparently they didn't either, and they could not figure it out and I called several times and finally gave up. (They kept saying they have no way to trace the points that were purchased? they just disappeared?)

Good luk on your snafu, too much $$ to walk away from!
