Help Please - Confused Abiut Getting To Early ADRs!

Fr the poster with the double stroller and GF ADRs....why not just drive to the TTC, then take the monorail to the GF, and then to the MK? You can just take either the monorail or ferry back to the TTC at the end of your day.

If you do park at the TTC, you can also just walk to the GF. 20 minute or so-depends on your pace.

For Magical Express, if the bus does not show up within ten minutes of time on your confirmation sheet, you would need to go inside immediately to find out what is going on. Unfortunately for single guests this is difficult because the Magical Express bus may show up while you are inside.

For packages created by third party travel agents, some of the components may be contracted out or sold out to other third parties (MDE?) and it is not possible to guarantee the performance of these parties.

I think the "Magical" in Magical Express pertains to how well they take care of you if they mess up royally.

Not what you want to hear but if the restaurant gives you a hard time for being late when you had a transportation issue, you would want a runner with cell phone to go to Guest Relations to help sort things out and perhaps get a refund for the ADR deposit if you decided not to wait in the standby, er, walkup line to eat there. (If he got a call from you that they seated you while he was gone then he would turn tails and run back to Tusker House or wherever.)

I have to say it is impossible for anyone to know everything there is to know about WDW. Even the people that work there! There is just so much to know!

I'm sorry but if you make a dining reservation it is up to you to figure out how to get to it. Disney does not need to check every guest's reservations and make those plans for them. For one thing, they have no idea if you have a rental car, like to use taxis, or are relying on the buses to get around.

Honestly it sounds as if your travel agent didn't know for sure, and just made an assumption on how things work.:( If you are upset with anyone it should be your travel agent for giving you bad information.

Disney says transportation is available for resort guests with early morning dining reservations. It's on the internal web site; I would guess that it's also communicated to travel agents. In fact, the internal web site says to direct guests to be at their bus stop 45 minutes before seating time, which every one here knows is quite optimistic, if not unrealistic.

None of the travel agent, cm's, or guest did anything wrong. They were simply relying on the official information distributed by Disney.

Disney failed to deliver on their promise. It was a Transportation foul up, pure and simple.

Optimistic?? Sure is. At least an hour is needed and sometimes that isn't enough time. I've been using Disney transportation to get around for over 10 years now. And it always worked pretty well. But lately? My last few trips I've encountered huge transportation issues. I've been late, by at least 20 mins, for ADRs...and I know how to get there and when to leave!!! Disney just didn't sent buses often enough!! One day it took 45 mins for a bus to MK to get to AoA!!!! The day before that? It took 30 mins for the MK bus to show up. Now, granted, it wasn't peak time.....I had an ADR at 'Ohana at 10, so not hugely busy. The other time it was a 5:30 ADR at 1900 Park Fare. 20 mins late for 'Ohana, and 25 mins for 1900 Park Fare!!!

I would expect a competent travel agent to know the difference between what they are told the client should do, and what the client really needs to do.
