We have a couple family members arriving later in our trip.

My sisters are sharing a room. Sister #1 is adding sister #2 to reservation upon arrival at the hotel due to fact #2 did not purchase dining plan.

Sister #2 (addition on reservation) will be there at around 10:30 am, Sister #1 (owner of reservation) isn't arriving until after 1.

Can sister #2 leave bags with bell services even though she's not on reservation yet?

I doubt it, but otherwise we will have to wait for her to arrive to put her bags in our room and I'm trying to avoid that.

Thanks!

I don't know, because technically #2 won't be on the reservation yet. Do they ask for identification? If not, then that would be great! She can just give the name of my sister with the reservation.

Maybe others have had different experiences, but we have had bell services hold our luggage on 2 seperate trips to AKL, when our room was not ready yet. All we did was hand them our luggage and got a claim ticket. They never asked if we were staying there, nor did they scan our magic bands.

Same, we have stored luggage numerous times, and have only ever been asked our names and room number, if we don't have a room number yet we just say we are checking in and waiting for our room. No scanning of MB, checking ID, or checking for a reservation at all.

Well that would be great then, thanks!!!

But if she isn't on any reservation at that point, how do they link her bags to a room?

Same. Having worked at a resort before (not Disney), I don't think Bell Services at Disney operates too differently so the bellmen will simply just tag the bags and give the person a claim ticket. Adding a room number just helps them find and identify the bags more easily. And if sister 2 throws in a couple bucks for the bellman, even better.

They don't and they shouldn't have to for storing bags.
