Hello fellow Disney lovers :)
First time poster as I found this site because I am interested in possibly booking a vacation to Walt Disney World for this christmas.

The following is my situation/scenario:

My cousins and I have decided and are hoping to go to Walt Disney World for Christmas and New Years.

The time period that we are able to go is as follows:

December 22nd 2007 – January 5th or 6th 2008
• This is the time period because high school and university winter breaks fall between this time for all of us
• We do not necessarily have to leave on the 5th or 6th that is just the latest we can stay until

Some information about who would be going:

• 3 people are going (myself and my cousins)
• I am 21 and my cousins are both 17 years old

More information:

• We would like to spend Christmas day and News year eve/day at Walt Disney World
• We would be travelling from Toronto (Canada) to Walt Disney World
• We would have to travel via plane
• We would have to stay at one of the hotels/resort that are located inside Walt Disney World because we would not have access to a car (unless there are hotels that are really close by to Disney World)

• We are only going because we want to stay at Walt Disney World and that’s about it, we are not necessarily there for “sightseeing”

So here are some questions that I have:

1. What would be the best way to go about booking this vacation, if it is possible to do so?
• Should we book it through airline companies?
• Should we book it through Walt Disney World website?
• Should we book it through a travel agent (travel agencies)
• Should we book it online (e.g. expedia, priceline, etc)?

2. Since we have to stay at one of the on-site hotels/resorts, what is the cheapest resort to stay at in Walt Disney World?• We assume that it would be 3 people in 1 room
• We are only using the room to sleep in, we don’t particularly care for any “extras”
• We don’t care how fancy the room is, if it has a fridge, character breakfast’s etc

3. If possible, we would prefer to book everything (e.g. the airfare and hotel/resort reservations all at once) together. If we can find the booking of airfare and hotel/resort reservation separately to be cheaper than booking those 2 together that would be okay too.

Just to note, as of right now, there is currently no price limit per se, but we are looking for the cheapest options.

If anyone has any help, ideas, and suggestions and so on, please help me out. It would be greatly appreciated!

If anyone has any addition questions please feel free to ask.

Thank You,

:welcome: :disrocks:

First you could save aprox $ 400 pp by flying out of Buffalo

I would stay at one of the values onsite ( you can then use magic express to get to and from the Airport and your hotel and disney transport to get to the parks FREE!!!)but keep in mind that there are only 2 Double beds ( we used a air bed for a 3rd bed )

This is a very busy time at WDW and lines will be long but will drop off some after jan 1

I woud shop around to get the cheepest air fare( I youse www.kayak.com and www.expedia.ca to compare airfares and then book direct from the airline ) and then book the hotel and park tickets from disney

I would get park hopper tickets so that you can go from one park to another if one is too busy or to attend a night time show

I would also recomend geting the Disney dining plan ( Eating at the parks can be very expensive )

Hope this helps

Hi Sadio,
Welcome to the disboards!
If you are going over Christmas I would highly recommend booking soon and getting TourGuide Mike. It will be so busy and he has awesome touring plans!
I always book through a travel agent, but you could easily book it yourself.
Our favourite Disney resort is Pop Century, the buses are fantastic! You can have 4 people in a room at all the values and the fridge is extra. I think 10 dollars a day.
I'm not sure where you live, but if you could fly out of Detroit or Buffalo it is soooo much cheaper than Toronto!
Character meals you need to have reservations for, you can book 180 days before you go. So I would try and get those ASAP!
Good Luck!

Hi welcome to Disboards,

It's always nice to see a new face and someone who is interested in Disney like we are. There are a couple of ways you can book. You can book with Disney Directly by calling them and quoting one of the Vacation codes that gives you some great deals. (You can find the codes here http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneypackages.htm#current )

You could also check out westjetvacations.com or even request a quote with http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/#wdw-top-Dreams

I just booked a vacation myself for Dec 5th to th 13th and all i did was go on westjet's website and got myself the flight and i called a travel agent to book the room and get the passes.

If you want to keep things cheap then stay with the value resorts, they are called Disney's All-Star Movie Resort, All-Star Music Resort and Pop Century. i checked online are they are going for about 92 cdn a night. I would book a room soon or they will be sold out.

If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask, i am sure someone here can help you out! :)

My first thought for you was that you mentioned you would be flying out of Toronto....do you and your cousins have passports? You can't fly without them from Canada into the States but you can drive across the border still with photo id and birth certificates. And the price difference between Canada and US airports is nuts!! Check into it.
