Hi! DH and I are WDW annual passholders who have taken a couple of trips to Universal. We have not been in 3 years and are looking for suggestions for our planned one day trip on Monday 10/18. We are staying onsite at WDW (Caribbean Beach Resort) and will have to Uber over to Universal. We plan to buy park-to-park tickets and Express Pass (not the unlimited kind). We don't plan to ride Hulk, VelociCoaster, Fearfall, or water rides, other than possibly Jurrasic River Adventure. We would like to do the following at IOA: Hagrid's, Forbidden Journey, Kong, Spiderman, Raptor Encounter, and maybe Jurrasic River. Plan to take train to Universal Studios and ride Minions, Transformers, Jimmy Fallon, Mummy, Fast and Furious, Gringott's, and Simpsons. Hagrid's is our top priority. We love both of the Harry Potter worlds/rides, as well as the Mummy ride and would like to try to ride this one a couple of times. Park hours are 8-6 for Studios (7am early entry but not for us) and 9-7 for IOA. We are thinking that we should just start at IOA for Hagrid's, do other rides there, and take train to Studios. Should we plan to arrive 1 hour before posted opening time, or should we plan to be there even earlier? Thanks in advance for suggestions!

I think your plan is good - not sure how early. I would think 1hr is fine. You should have no wait for Hagrids then.

Single rider for Mummy can be your friend...

You may consider riding the train back to IoA later to see the Dark Arts at Hogsmeade & pop back in line for Hagrids last thing - riding at night is extra awesome.
