I find it a bit surprising that they had to foot the entire bill to travel to Italy in order to speak. Just browsing the website for the Innocence Project you can find a lengthy list of donors and their generous contributions.

I think these things are a test.
When you donate, you are put on a list. It's kind of like a credit history, when you do things like register to vote, or get your driver's license or even a job they look you up and see whether you sent money to these people. If you did you are passed over for someone with intelligence.

Well now we know her true motive for going back to Italy suddenly after previously vowing never to return. She thinks another bout of celebrity-dom will get her some sponsors.

I just read the article and my head is spinning....so distasteful....and she needed to "escape" the media glare in the courtroom as the press was observing her every move when she returned to Italy. Why such an outlandish public display with this registry if she does not want attention. Ridiculous.

The only time I have donated to any fund me account was when a coworker had cancer and some treatments weren’t covered by insurance. I wouldn’t donate for a wedding of people I know personally, let alone some random celebrity wanna be. What nerve!

Yes, that trip probably did in fact cost her 30k. She isn't the kind to pull a "cheap" publicity stunt. She goes all out on her attention seeking.

This is exactly what my wife and I did. We had to pay for our own wedding. We were just starting out and had practically no money. We still had a nice wedding and a reception in the church's fellowship hall. The big thing was that we had the wedding completely paid for before it began.
