PLEASE HELP!! We have rented points from the same person for the last 4 years and this year was no different, contacted him and he got us the dates (11/26/17 to 12/2/17) we wanted at the Poly except we had to be on a waiting list for the last two days of the stay but he said it was nothing to worry about and we have had to do this before and no problem, he also said he would send us a contract so we could start paying him. It came time for dining reservations and in order for us to make all the dining reservations we worried about not having those last two days booked bc we wouldn't be able to book the 10 days ahead like we could for the other days. We emailed him and he did a reservation at Boulder Ridge Villas for our days so we could get our dining reservations and at this time we still have no contract and we asked again in our email and he said we would have it in a couple of days, at this point we were still not stressing bc we have had such great dealing with this person. The last time we talked to them was in May and we have been emailing, calling, and texting them to figure out why we haven't got a contract with no response back and now we have two reservations in our names. We have bought our tickets and most resorts are booked up for these days. Obviously Disney can't tell me anything, so any advice on what to do would be so helpful. We are so upset and are trying to avoid telling our three kids that we can't go this year. Thank you in advance!!

Are you sure you still have the two reservations in your name? Do you still see them in your my disney experience account? If the owner won't get back with you, there is really nothing you can do. DVC will not talk to you, so you are at the owner's mercy at this point.

Maybe make a cash reservation as a back up - just in case.

Step 1: take a deep breath.

It sounds like you have the reservation that you want for your vacation. You seem to be concerned that you haven't paid for it yet. It's likely the owner is waiting until the waitlist clears before he takes your money. As long as you still see the reservations online, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I still have both reservations on my MDE. I just don't want to drive 21 hours and show up with no reservations, he is going to add our dining on there too so when should we be concerned? Thanks for all the help :)

Trying to not stress out, just out of character for them.

The dining plan can be added up to 48 hours prior to arrival.

You have the reservations and you've dealt with this person more than once before. I'm having a little bit of a difficult time understanding the concern over the contract as honestly it does nothing to guarantee you'll have a reservation when you arrive. That is always going to be based on trust and if they've fulfilled on the reservations before, as I mentioned, I'm not certain of the concern. It sounds like you've had some contact with them and just need the DP now. As mentioned that can be added up until 48 hours ahead of time.

We have dealt with him before (the last 4 years) but we have always made monthly payments to him and he has always emailed us back within a week with any questions we have. There has been no contact since the beginning of May. My concern is that we have paid him nothing and I know that the price changed bc we are staying a day less and I am sure his price went up a little per point. Sorry if it's hard to understand, we were getting concerned since we have two reservations in our name but have not paid him and have no communication. Just have never been in this situation, we have always loved dealing with him just was trying to get advice on when I should stress or any ideas on what to do.

The simplest thing is to make a cash reservation for a backup until things are settled up.

That is what I am going to try to do, I guess. Everything is booked up (in our budget for a family of 5) during those dates :( I will just keep trying.

I can totally understand why you are concerned. Frankly, I would be concerned too.

At this point I would make a refundable back-up elsewhere so your vacation won't be ruined. Next, I would call the DVC renter on the phone. Since you have not paid, there is nothing that forces you to pay. If the seller continues to ignore you and have two reservations in your name, that's on him.

The only reason why I think the DVC renter might be dodging your communication is because he did not get the Poly for you. If you're ok with what he did get, let him know! Tell him that you are concerned that you have not heard from him.

Good luck.

Can't you just call him and see if he is okay?

We have tried several times. Called, text, and have emailed. Someone picked up phone and hung up, and now we just get cleared and send straight to voicemail. No contact with any of those. Hoping everything is ok with him.

Sorry to hear about this... It does sound stressful. Hopefully you will hear soon. I would go with the advice given and book something else, even off site if I had to. Just so you have a back up. Just looking at your dates right now I see a room at Art of Animation (two adults/3 kids) for average of $292.80 (pre tax) per night with the magical holiday room offer... It is a suite... $1976.43 for your dates... (26th-2nd)... Good luck...

I would send another email and leave a VM stating that if you don't hear back by (date) you will have to make other vacation arrangements. He isn't in a storm area is he?
