We're under the three month mark :cool1: an in a few weeks it will be time to make a couple of PSs, and I need some advice? or perhaps assurance?

We'll be celebrating DD's 6th birthday in the park, although her actual date is a couple of weeks earlier. We arrive from LV around 8.30pm on the Tuesday. The trip is revolving around DD. We have our tickets from GAT so picking up on the Wednesday morning, have 2 early entries. We will be taking the hotel shuttle. Hours for Oct aren't up yet, but I'm assuming for weekdays will be from 10am.

And here is my plan so far:

Wed 1 October, pick up tickets. Depends on DD and how she is feeling to what time we get to the park, how long we stay.
Thurs 2, Early Entry, full day, probably no evening. Will do as much Fantasyland as possible.
Fri 3, Fireworks that night, DD is looking forward to being a little "nocturnal". Probably a late start.
Sat 4, Rest day, perhaps some shopping. Trip to character warehouse, and look around more shops.
Sun 5,
Mon 6,.
Tues 7, Early Entry stay to around 1.30/2pm; have preseason basketball tickets for Lakers v ???? (can't remember).
Wed 8, Any last minute rides, etc, shopping
Thurs 9 - Fly home, leave around 9am. Counts as nothing day!

DD won't go on any thrill or scary rides, although she is tall enough for most!! So TOT, California Dreamin, Space Mountain (maybe,) Indy etc will be out.

I know that there is a good chance Fantasmic will be down, but we're not too bothered.

So my questions are, both Pat E Cake Birthday cake and the Princess Lunch is of importance to DD. Where would you fit these in? Would the LA Tour be better on the Sunday or Monday? Leaning towards Sunday so we're not exhausted for EE on Tuesday. That weekend is the busy Gay Day's weekend. I have purchased an 8-day hopper so we can come and go each day if we want.

Hi kylieh- funnily enough the Pat E Cake Birthday celebration and the princess lunch are of great importance to my 6 yo DD too!
How about a nice sit down lunch and rest with princesses after your early entry on Thursday, then on friday you could do the shorter birthday celebration in the afternoon (that allows for a sleep in Friday morning if needed in preparation for Fireworks night)

You will have such a great time- make sure you do a trip report when you get back.....
I can't wait to hear how it goes- with an Aussie perspective of course!!!

That is a great week to be in the parks! :) HusbandMan and I honeymooned that week in 2004 and it is a really good time for the parks.

At 5 my kid refused to consider any of the mountains except BTMRR which we rode repeatedly. You might consider trying her on that one because it seems to be less intimidating.

I would hit the special lunches on Thursday and Saturday. A "rest day" is a good opportunity to wander slowly to a special event without needing to hit the park full tilt.
