so far I have made resservations for my long weekend. tell me what other place for the 2nd night you would suggest and why

1st night I am eating at Ohanas (I Love it there)

3rd night I am eating in the castle, is this worth the $$$ or can you suggest somewhere else?

I need suggestions for the 2nd night, help, food is a big part of my vacation and I don't want to be dissapointed.

I am going with my 20 yr od son so I don't need anything romatic, just good food.:D

My 17 and 20 year olds very much enjoy the following restaurants for dinner:

Cape May Buffet

Teppanyaki in Japan/Epcot

Sci Fi and 50's Prime Time in MGM/Studios

These are the ones that stand out in our minds for great food, atmosphere and fun for teens/young adults. :)

I wasn't that impressed with my CRT lunch entree (Earl's Poulet) - it was very dry and salty, but my husband really enjoyed his fish meal (can't remember what it was). My mother who was with us didn't care for her meal either.

Its hard to say if a 20 year old male would get into the whole "royal" treatment that you get, but its something to experience at least once. I would suggest lunch over dinner though, just my opinion.

Its hard to go wrong with 'Ohana - good food, fun atmosphere - pretty good for any age.

Depending on what type of food your son likes you may want something along those lines. Or where you plan to be that night - something convenient would be a good bet. There are enough excellent restaurants that something will be close to where you plan to be. Spoodles, Flying Fish, Palio, California Grill, Jiko, if you're at MGM - I'd go with Brown Derby (if you're already there).

Another vote for Cape May at the Beach Club. Excellent food, and great service. It was nice to "walk it off" on our way to Epcot after the big meal.

I was very disappointed with my prime rib at Cindy's and the atmosphere was not what I expected either when we went last year on Mother's Day for dinner. we went to Le Cellier on our last trip in March and loved it. I highly reccomend it. Enjoy!:D

since i dont know where youll be here my top picks in different locations......

coral reef (epcot) or Rose and Crown at 7:30 (WS)

Liberty Tree Tavern at MK, always a favorite

Sci-fi at MGM

Cape May Clambake at BC

Hoop Dee Doo Revue at FW, another must do

One more vote for Cape May, unless he's not a seafood fan. A 20-year-old man will appreciate the selection and quantity. Plus the Boardwalk is such a beautiful place to relax and enjoy and walk off a great dinner.

I have a l9 yo dd and 21 yo ds.

My ds likes the Plaza Restaurant, 50's Primetime, and the Chinese and Japanese restaurants. The Castle is cool and definitely worth a nite if you haven't been there.

Also Pecos Bills counter service in MK has great burgers.

My kids also like to eat offsite at Pizzeria Uno and Steak/Shake near Crossroads.

If you run outta money and have a car, head for Steak/shake. Very cheap. LOL

herc.

I dined at the castle for lunch on my last trip and it was fantastic. You won't be disappointed here. I would also STRONGLY recommend the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary, Spoodle's at the Boardwalk, Le Cellier and the Rose & Crown at EPCOT, & Tusker House at Animal Kingdom. The Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club is also very good. For a little character, I would recommend the 1900 Park Fare, the Crystal Palace & the Garden Grill. I found the food at all 3 very good!! I was also going to recommend O'Hana's, but you beat me to it. Hope this helps!! :jester: :smooth:

At the top of the list for my DD21 and her boyfriend20 is Spoodle's with Yatchsman Steakhouse a very close second. They both also love 50's Prime Time.

Their favorite casual place is Beaches and Cream. DD swears she has never had a better burger in her life. They almost lived in there our last trip!:D

Here's a few of my recommendations:

Wolfgang Puck's (Downtown Disney Westside)

Boma's (AKL)

Teppanyaki (Japan Worldshowcase)

Nine Dragons (China Worldshowcase)...some don't like this restaurant, but when I worked at Disney the girls and I dined here one night and were all pleasantly surprised!

Crystal Palace (Breakfast) (MK)

Hollywood Brown Derby (MGM)

DH and I dined at several more places, but these were the ones (Except Nine Dragons) that really hit us as good cookin'!! :teeth:

Here are some of our favorites:

Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. A short walk from the International Gateway at Epcot. Great buffet featuring Prime Rib, Steamed clams, mussels and shrimp, New England Clam Chowder, a chicken dish, a pasta dish, and great mashed potatos, and corn on the cob. They also feature a nice salad bar and the most awesome dessert bar you are likely to find. This is one of the places we NEVER miss when we go to WDW.

50's Prime Time Cafe at Disney Studios. This place is alot of fun, and features good homecooked meals. We especially are fond of the pot roast and the meatloaf. The portions are huge. The desserts are great, as well. Our favorite is the S'Mores. The servers are your mom's, brothers, sisters and cousins, and they play the part. It is set up as a 50's style kitchen, and please keep your elbows off the table, and boys, remember to remove you hats...lol!!!

Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. A family style restaurant with good food with a Polynesian flair. The service is great, and the menu choices are outstanding. I had the terriyaki chicken breast, and it melted in my mouth. Save room for dessert... the Banana Caramel Creme Brulee is fantastic. Also, Kona boasts of the best coffee on property. It is a great place to stop in if you are just in the mood for coffee and dessert.

Mama Melrose at Disney Studios. We love this New York style Italian Restaurant. It is usually busy, so we try to go at off times. The service was good, the portions are huge, and the menu selections are delicious. I love the Portobello Mushroom Risotto! Also, the Sangria is the best we have had anywhere!

Hope you have a lovely vacation!:)
