OK I know this question has been on the board so many times everyone has lost count. Please tell me exactly what I am expected to tip while on the 4 day Wonder for myself and my 8 year old daughter. I am working out my budget and need to add this in. I would love to know who and how much is expected. Please try to be as exact as possible.
Thank you everyone:cool:

Suggested tipping amounts Information from:
http://www.castawayclub.com/

For a four day cruise (per person)

Restaurant Server $14.75
Restaurant Assistant Server$10.75
Head Server $3.75
Stateroom Host(ess) $14.50

So if I understand correctly the TOTAL tipping for the entire cruise =87.50?

Yes, you are correct - $87.50 for the two of you.

Again, these are just suggested amounts. No one should feel that you have to tip if the service did not warrant it.

The total tipping for those positions would be $87.50 if you follow the suggested guidelines. Some people tip more if the service warrents it; some people tip less if they don't think they got good service.

An automatic 15% is added for specialty drinks, soda (when not in a restaurant) and liquor.

It's also not uncommon to tip room service (if you order from them).

Thank you very much for your help...... This is all so confusing for me and you have certainly helped.... We have been to WDW 3 times in the last 3 years but have never been on any kind of cruise so I am doing everything in my power to be well informed before we leave.... I am sure I will have more questions between now and October......

Remember that even though you your waitstaff only is assigned to you for dinners, they are also working breafasts and lunches and snack bars. So if you are thinking that you normally tip 15-20%, and that the amount seems a bit high, you have to remember to include all of your meals and snacks - and then the amount to tip the waitstaff doesn't seem so much.

Tips are definately an item to budget for - because they can add up fast!

jrabbit,
Are you saying that in addition to the above posted tipping I should budget in for other meal tipping? Like at plutos, the character breakfast etc.....
Or is this all that I am required to tip?

No. You don't need to tip extra for these. The only extras are for room service (as mentioned) or if you eat at Palo's.
