Hello, everyone. My husband has agreed to take me to WDW for the weekend. Nana will be taking the kids so we can go!! Woohoo!

Since it will be short weekend, I don't think that I'll be able to take advantage of any deals so I'm pricing through Disney. Would you take a look at my budget to see if there's any fat to trim?

Thanks!

Airfare $310.80 for 2 adult tix (not going through SW b/c we do not want to incur parking fees at the airport, we live near public transport so can take it into the airport)

Package quoted by Disney website: $1255.10 for 3 nights Pop Century w/ dining, 10 day non-expiring hoppers (we plan on going back later with the kids so we are buying 10 day tix). We're taking ME and Disney transportation everywhere.

I opted for the dining package because we like nice dinners and thought we'd get the best deal at $35 pppn.

What do you think of this budget? I've even priced out off-site with car rental and counter meals and parking at the parks. There is only a $70 difference between staying off-site and onsite. I prefer to stay onsite and keep things simple.

We don't have AAA so that's out of the question. Anything else that might bring the cost down? Would a TA be able to help me with a better deal?

Thanks in advance!

I would watch for any deals through your email or postal mail with codes. I would also watch for the free dining plans like they had through the beginning of October. Definitely take advantage of that. Otherwise, I can't think of anything else. At first the price was WOW!!! Then i read that you were getting 10 day non-expiring tix for next time. I would compare prices to see how much the difference would be to purchase only what you need now and then how much it would be to purchase what you need next time. It may be cheaper just get them separate. Just an idea :D

PS...can your DH talk to mine??? ;) You are so lucky!

Have you thought of buying points from a dvc member? It's amazing how much money you save and you stay at one of the deluxe resorts. I wouldn't go to WDW any other way. My son is going to stay at OKW for one night before he leaves for his cruise. The cost was $322.40 from Disney, but he's paying $80 total for his studio at OKW. That's the complete price. Great way to save money AND get a great place to stay.

Yes, I looked into it but since my stay would include Friday and Saturday, DVC became cost prohibitive.
