Help oct or nov?/ Halloween deco

Hi I'm a newbie I've already posted this but I think on the wrong board.? But we can't deciede when to go to wdw. Early/ Mid oct or last week of nov-dec. Our conceren w/ oct is the halloween decoration. Although we do trick-or-treating we don't d witches/wizards etc. Does anyone know when the decoration go up and come down? On the other hand we are concerened abt the weather in late nov-dec My kids LOVE to swim (but that would fall on my dd b-day, kinda cool). Any advice would be greately appericated!! Thanks.

We were there in Oct 2004 (stayed at BWI, did MNSSHP 10/31) and I really don't remember many scary Halloween decorations. But there are certainly many people dressed in costume wandering the parks - esp on MNSSHP nights. And the party parade and fireworks had a few parts that could be scary for younger kids. And don't forget that if you go in Oct/Nov you can go to the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival too. Now, on the other hand, I'm planning an early Dec. trip in '06 because for several years I've wanted to see all the Christmas decorations and go to MVMCP. But my kids love the pools too so I'm hoping that the first week of Dec we'd at least get a good day or two for swimming. I checked online for historical Florida weather patterns when I started my planning and that was helpful - you can link to that website from allearsnet.

Other then the Halloween parties at MK at night, there are no Halloween decorations for you to worry about. They transform the park between 5:00p and 7:00p.

Yes, sometimes it can be cold December but the pools are heated.

I'd go either time. We love the Halloween parties and we love the Christmas festivities in Nov/Dec.
