I had to buy a new laptop back in NOvember because my old one was ruined and this laptop seems to have a difficulty with my wireless card.
Everything will be running smoothly and all of a sudden the internet will disconnect and i will have to pull the PC card out and then put it back in and wait a few minutes to get a solid connection.

Well this happened and then my screen went blue with a message that i couldnt read because the computer rebooted before i got a chance.

When I rebooted i got a message about an online crash analysis so i went through with that.
This is what the report said:

BUt now some of my stuff isnt working...What happened and what should i do?!

If it has anything to do with Outlook, I would suspect a virus. Outlook is notorius for be susceptable to viruses so I would run a good scan. Also, if you are ona network or wireless setup, make sure you have a good firewall. Don't rely on the built-ins that come with XP. I use ZoneAlarm from zonelabs.com, it is free and very effective. I ran a virus scan and i have no viruses.
I already have to deal with a college firewall when i am on campus so I dont know what is up.
It was really random and before nothing was working internet wirse but now it is only outlook that causes problems.

It sounds like something I had, that went on to totally destroy everything I had on my computer because I didn't catch it fast enough. It didn't register as a virus, but it was. I'd get it checked out soon.

How did you figure out what it was?

I didn't. I took it in and to a shop. They had to take out the hard drive and put another one in. They tried to save what I had saved, but it destroyed that one too. They had to put another hard drive in and I lost everything I had saved.

I don't know if what you have is the same problem I had, mine was called UOgamer. I tried to delete it, but it burrowed way down deep.

It isnt in my processes so i doubt that is what it is.

I think it is just a problem with the PC card being compatable with the computer.

Is it a Compaq, by chance? Sounds similar to some Compaq issues we've had.

Norah, maybe send a PM to jfulcer. Jeff seems very knowledgeable (or fakes it well :)) when it comes to PC problems like this. Just a thought. Hope you get it fixed up soon.

Thanks Dan I did just that.

This morning things seem to be fine *knock on wood* and my outlook was working and everything.
