Help Needed!!!

Hello

I'm calling on all the disney brides that have already married and maybe some brides to be.

I am in the uk and cannot book our wedding till 12 months out and we want sep/oct 2008 so we have quite a way to go.

We are looking for anything that disney may have emailed you that you can possible email to us regarding reception, flowers menus and anything else really

We are just trying to gain an idea of exactly what we want to when it comes round to us booking we have it all planned.

Also the wishbook is ok but I find sometimes it does not work and does not give you the greatest information

All your help will be very helpful

Hi

If you give me your email address, I can email you everything from the wishbook that Tanis has emailed me. However in the detailed stuff she has sent me there is no cake selection or flower selection, that is all in your planning part of the wishbook, where it says the cake flavors and different flower bouqets available etc. Maybe I'll get more info closer to my date.

When it comes to floral and cakes and all, they don't really give you anything, we just looked through books and talked about ideas at our planning session. They did send a cd with cakes, but it's identical to the cakes on the wishbook. They sent prices, but it's hard copy, not emailable. As far as floral, they let you tell them waht you want and then they come back with a price, so nothing to be sent there either. The best thing to do is to gather pictures from this board and other places of what you like and give it to them then. The planning process is really so easy that I wouldn't worry about having it all done exactly when you call them. I was so anxious to get started and to have them send me things, and now I'm just hanging out waiting for it to be April! Do all of the things you can do now - pick out dresses, save up money, and gather info.

Thats great thank you for advising me this, I'm just panicing that I'm going to call them and they are going to want to know everything I want and I dont know what we want!

Glad I could help. The only things you really need to know when you are ready to book would be the date you want, the location you want for the ceremony (WP, Sea Breeze Point, etc), and the location you want for your reception. They will book each of those locations at that time for you, then all the other details come later.

You will want to start on your room block ASAP to make sure you get the hotels you want, so start thinking about that and talkign to important guests about costs and how long they're going to stay (rough ideas are what you'll need)

Oh, you should also have a rough idea of how many people you're inviting or that you think will come to start the planning process - also this will help in narrowing down some of the locations as some are only for 100 or more and some are for much smaller groups.

I have started with the guest already as we need to give them time to save up, I'm not sure on what sort of discounts we get with a custom wedding so I have just given them prices of package holidays from the uk for the same time next year..

We know we what the wedding pavillion and we want a illuminations dessert party but havent decided on a reception place yet. There is only going to be around 25-30 of us anyway so we are looking for a reception that we are not going to look silly in with loads of space left over! I did like the napa room but then my DF likes the living seas and on the wish book there is a picture of the grand floridian and two crescent shaped tables and one at the top where we would sit!
