I have been using the computer (desktop) that I have hooked up to the internet to store all my music in iTunes.

I'd like to add iTunes to my laptop that has never been hooked up to the internet. I don't download music off the internet.

Since the laptop doesn't have iTunes, what is the best/easiest way to add it. I'd like to not have it hooked up to the internet as it has no virus protection. I have music stored in (Microsoft Media Player?) do I/should I delete it from there if it will be in iTunes?

I've heard that if you plug in your Nano and some of the songs on your Nano aren't in iTunes, you will loose them. Is this correct?

The only way I know of to get iTunes installed is via the internet.

All of our songs are not in iTunes, however DBF has them on his iTouch, he does not lose them when he plugs his Touch into the computer.

This is not true. You can download iTunes on the desktop, then burn it to a dvd or a flash drive, then transfer to the non-internet computer.

OP - Why not load an antivirus program on your laptop? It will make using iTunes 100% easier. There are plenty of free antivirus programs which work well; do a Google search. Then you need to go to apple.com and learn how to transfer the songs from your nano to your laptop:

It is true that you cannot sync your nano with more than one computer. Here's another explanation of how to transfer your files to your laptop:

Thanks!

I'm going to look into getting Wi-Fi and putting an anti-virus program on the laptop. I will be able to do more things with it than my desktop which is running out of hard drive space.

I have more music I want to add to iTunes and with the laptop I have lots of hard drive space. Would I delete the music that is stored on the laptop in (Microsoft Media Center?) once it's in the iTunes?
