Hi all.. I need some help:grouphug: we have not been to Universal in 9 years and that was not IOA.

I am hoping you good folks can list some attractions in both parks that we should do first to avoid long lines. We are staying at royal pacific, but not sure what the lines will be like.

Our dates are May 9 & May 10 (my birthday):yay:

For me IoA is simple just get there before the parks open and do just hit everything quickly. It takes about an hour for any lines to build up in the park and since there is only the single path around the park they build starting at the rides near the gate then back through the park. I can get most of the park done by noon and not waited very long to do so.

For USF getting there early is also key. The thing is a lot of the attractions take time. I like running around and doing the shorter rides first so I can get them done quickly while the lines are still short. I do MIB, Mummy, and E.T. first then start hitting the longer attractions. I always keep the shows until later in the day when there are lines on the rides since they can handle such a large number of people at once. Also I like doing Jaws in the dark so I will often hold off and make it my last attraction of the night.

Having said all of that since your staying on site it really does not matter much. You will get access to the express pass line all day and its rare for that to get too backed up. You really should not have to worry about any line unless something breaks down.

your staying on site, no sweat. no worry about lines.

and you are going early may, ususally low crowds.

crowds in the park do not start until around 11 each day.

go when the parks open
you go early and have fotl, you will not have lines

hulk and spidey are big hits for park goers anytime of the day at IOA
also include dueling dragons in that catagory.

at the studios, it is MIB, mummy and probably shrek/jimmy neutron for the fact those two are the first shows/rides people see and get in line right away for them so they don't have to back track. the regular homies at UO ususally head for MIB and Mummy when they first arrive.

i hope you have a wonderful trip and great stay at rph.

happy early birthday!

Oh, don't worry about the lines!!! You will be able to do everything and enjoy the resorts and the restaurants and have an all around great vacation.

we want you to have a wonderful trip full of mummy dust !!

if you start to see more people at the park, eat at off times.
if you eat around 11ish, others will be on rides.

then the majority of the guests will stop to eat around noonish to 1 pm.
do the rides when they are dining.

it works everytime.

also, most times, guests are allowed into the parks at 8:30 if there is a line for entrance, UO doesn 't hold to the 9:00 opening. not all rides will be open at 8:30 though.

You are going at a great time of the year. Unlike WDW, you can sleep late, have a nice breakfast, use your FOTL - no lines, no rushing. Both parks go in a big circle, so just follow the path around and you won't miss a thing. You will have plenty of time to ride the attractions multiple times and have tons of time to get back to the resort and enjoy the beautiful pool. We go during this time every year and from our experience we get to the parks around 10 ish and by 3 we are at the pool with a cold umberella drink.

Have a great trip!
