Help needed - SSR reservation confirmation

I do apologize if I post to the wrong board....
I am in desparate need to find out if we have been duped by this company (a broker). To make story short - I saw an ad renting SSR on Christmas week (Dec 20-27) 2 BR Villa and the price was good.
I have sent the money and signed a paper but I haven't got anything back until now (it was sent 3 wks ago). The company mentioned that the owner already signed the contract back and I should get something back. Then it said that my mail was returned. I am hoping that I am OK but I do need somebody to confirm my reservation with Member Services (I tried to call the number after calling Disney reservation and they told me that the member has to make a call).
For all of you veteran - is there a way for somebody to find out if I have my name / reservation at DVC for the time above etc? Is there something that can be verified by anybody?

Please advise and I do appreciate anything that you can suggest.

Only the owner that is making the reservation can talk with member services about it.

At this time, the only one who can check your reservation with Member Services is the member who made the reservation. Other members would not be able to verify anything on another member's account either.

A few days before your arrival date, the reservation will be uploaded to the resort itself and you should be able to verify the reservation thru the resort directly at that time. I'd call SSR directly around December 15 to see ifthey have your reservation. It should be in your name - not the member's.

All - thanks for the advice... I guess that I just have to be patient at this time... I have never been through a broker before and I usually rented directly with the owner -
I usually sent the money and I got back a copy of reservation under my name from the owner pretty quickly....

sigh..... the waiting game... that is not fun at all....
