I'm flying to Holland on business a week on Tuesday and am going out of Birmingham airport. My company have booked accomodation at the Fort Dunlop Travel lodge the night before (early flight).. not quite the Radisson!
Has anyone got any idea how long it will take to drive to Birmingham airport from the hotel.. and ideas on where to park.. etcc..
Any help greatly needed.
Thanks
Tracy

The Fort Dunlop Travelodge is about 11 miles from the airport. So depending on traffic and time of day I would allow about 30-40 minutes.

Free parking is available in the base of the main fort building.

Did see this on the hotel website:

"Please be advised this hotel is located on a site with additional development in progress and access is via a lift. If you require access by stairs please contact the hotel directly. we apologise for any disturbance this may cause".

"Please be aware that due to the location of the hotel in the vicinity of Birmingham International Airport there will be some external noise".

Also, make sure you get to the hotel early - Travelodge have a reputation of over-booking! So if you are the last to arrive and all the rooms are taken then you won't have anywhere to sleep!

Have a good trip :)

Sounds pretty typical..thanks for the advice!!
Have to be at the airport for 4.50am.. Will have to set off at 4.30.. yuk!
