We are flying into Ft Lauderdale, staying for 2 nights and then cruising. :p We would like somewhere that is pleasant, clean, comfortable, not noisy and preferably on the beach or Intracostal waterway and not above $90 per night including taxes. Are we expecting too much?

Any recommendations, please, or names to say away from?

As I am chief organiser of our trip, (heaven help me), I really would like to get it right!

Thanks.

Hi Jan, we are cruising out of Fort Lauderdale in May and have reservations to stay at the Marriott Marina, which is on 17th Street across from the port. They also have a water taxi stop right at the hotel, so we can ride the water taxi around the area. I got the reservation for $65 off of priceline. Check out the message boards on cruise critic for more information on Ft Lauderdale hotels. They have a section just for hotel questions. Hope this helps!

I've stayed at the Marriott Harbour Beach Resort. Very lovely hotel located right on the beach. Got a good rate off of priceline for $105 a night. It's the only "resort" hotel offered on priceline for the Ft.Lauderdale beach area.
Good Luck!
