Hi guys I need your help and advice.. I am about to book a wishes collection (gasp!! ) and I am so unsure of reception venues that will suit my needs ! I want something different cool and funky and more casual than what the ball rooms offer. I want the elderly and round to be comfortable also and I love the beach ( this would be a great theme ) I also want to be able to throw a great party where the alcohol out weights the food ! if any of you have any experiences or ideas I would love to hear from you ..... Bride in distress

Thank you i will take a look ! I am liking the areas of shipwreck beach but i know it will be busy down there and hard to host a party with a Dj

Summer house at Grand Floridian. It's big patio and beach. Very nice and casual.

What about one of the venues on the Boardwalk? It already fits your theming!

I had my wedding at Atlantic Dance Hall this past October and it sounds like it might be a good fit for what you're looking for. We had two bars open (we had a 6 hour open bar and there was never a line for drinks) The space is definitely unique, fun and funky, and is situated right on the boardwalk which could go with a beach theme. In addition, we had 100 guests, and sat everyone around the Dance hall, and then on the dance floor we had 3 tables...one for the bridal party, and then 2 for each side of parents and grandparents. This way while everyone was dancing the grandparents still felt like they were involved with everything. If you want any pictures or have any questions just let me know :)

Our wedding was 5 years ago - and ADH was the best.

We had a morning ceremony in Epcot (Italy) - 9am.

A brunch reception in ADH 10am to 3pm.

And a DP back in Epcot for Illuminations.

We had 50 people attend our wedding and 5 tables of 10 set up on the dance floor and our sweetheart table - there was plenty of room for dancing. Our cocktail hour was upstairs at ADH overlooking the dance floor.

Here are a few photos of our day.

I know a lot has changed in the planning of Disney wedding since we planned ours 6 years ago, but please let me know if you have any questions.

I am liking the venues that have both outdoor and indoor use such a the white hall patio terrce, the attic and napa room . I know i have advantages and disadvantages of all rooms . Does anybody have any experience of holding there receptions at either venue or any photos , my party will be between 20 & 30

We had 36 people at the Attic and adored it! I have a description of our reception and tons of photos here: http://disneytravelbabble.com/trip-reports/wedding/day-4b/
