Help Needed - Back to back or panama canal

Has to do with time involved to go there before actually heading "west", and whether that particular day already has a Disney ship there.

The west bound one this year has four stops, none at CC. Our PC had six. The east bound winds up in Texas, way off from a CC sighting. Seems San Diego is their west coast go-to port...in '08 we left from LA, where our son lives, which was very handy. If I heard right, our passage east cost Disney around $450,000, more than westbound. A Disney excursion was very late leaving Acapulco (flat tire). We left at 2:45 instead of 2 pm. When the bus pulled up the passengers ran for their lives up the gangplank and, if he could, the captain would have laid rubber getting out of there...had to get in that queue on time. Every cruise is an adventure with DCL.

Panama, and I didn't even have to think about the answer for half a second! It is one of the longest, and the best value cruise on the schedule.

I loved our DCL Panama Canal cruise. Well, it was our first, but still....

It was the Westbound 2008 cruise. We ported at Castaway Cay, Aruba, (Panama Canal-no stops), Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas ending at Los Angeles (San Pedro). And it was a 15 night cruise.

Our PC was far more enjoyable than any of our multiple Caribbean's. If it goes out of Port Canaveral you can do WDW before and Disneyland on the other end. Even if you end in San Diego, its just a couple hours to LA.
