I am new here and I recently bought a timeshare (3 bedroom lockout) at Cypress Pointe Grandvillas. We have Easter week this year but we can't go due to my husbands parent/teacher conferences (he's a teacher). We did not know that his conferences were going to be the week after Easter because Easter changes every year, and so does the week of his conferences. My question is how do we go about renting out our week since we can't go. It is from April 17(Easter Sunday) until April 24. We already paid the maintance fees of $744.00 and that is how much we would rent the week for. We are not trying to make a profit, we just don't want to waste the $744.00 we already paid for maintance fees. Does anyone know how to advertise renting a timeshare week? I do know that Easter week is a prime week therefore some people might be interested but is there a sight that i can advertise this? Thanks for all of your help!! Jakezmom

www.tug2.net

I think it's $15.00 to join, and you get a free listing..great site:)

I'd try E-bay with a buy it now price that will cover your E-bay fees. Don't know if it would work, but it might.

For a 3BR CPGV during Easter week, you should have NO TROUBLE recouping your maintenance fees plus any listing/etc. fees you pay to tug/ebay/what-have-you. I know you aren't looking to make a profit, but look around at what some properties are going for for your week before you set a price. You might be pleasantly surprised.

To rent on eBay, you'll have to be Square Trade certified. It always sounded like too much trouble and expense for me.

Redweek.com and myresortnetwork.com would be a couple of possibilities. A google search of timeshare rentals should turn up others.

You might even get lucky posting notices on a few bulletin boards if your local schools are out that week.
