HELP! Need to make last minute ressie 12/24 +

Help y'all!

We were supposed to stay with my Dad at Christmas, from 12/24 to 12/30. He lives about an hour south of Disney. We were going to go up to Disney for 2 days on 12/27 & 12/28. But now Dad has gotten sick, and is having trouble getting over it. He has a virus that went into Bronchitis and then something else. He finally appears to be getting better. I don't want to do anything to make him sick again. I know my dd is a little germ magnet and that she and I have built up immunities to all the bugs she brings home from school, but Dad has not.

So, at the last minute, I need to make other arrangements. Since we are flying Continental, it would cost a fortune to change the tickets. That leaves getting a hotel as the only viable option. We would love to stay on property if I can find a deal that won't break the bank. Are there any deals left for Christmas week, or are those long gone? We have the Disney Visa, AAA, are DVC members (no points left) and are about to buy Annual Passes. (Can you say "Disney Addict"?? ) Can I use any of those to snag us a deal this late in the game?

Does anyone have any ideas???

As far as I know, there are no deals for your dates since it is Christmas week, unless you could check in earlier. The last day to check in for Visa free dining is the 20th.
Can you rent a car and stay off site? Buena Vista Suites is running some great specials. Also, on the Orlando board there are some condos that someone had to give up that week b/c of a family illness.

Well I just pluggged in 12/24 - 12/30 and you can get a King bed room only ressie at CSR for $1,575. At this late date, I would guess that you can probably do much better offsite, but not sure where. Maybe check the Swan & Dolphin & the DTD area hotels. Good luck.
