Hi Everyone. I need some help picking restaurants for Disney World. My family is going to be there between Dec 17th and Dec 24th, 2011.:santa:

We have been before. We made our reservations late and got lucky with a couple and had a wonderful time.

This time, I have a lot more pressure on me because we're bring my friend's family and in-laws too.:scared1:

I need some suggestions of restaurants to eat at in and/or out of the parks.

My Family = Me, Wife, Daughter (13), Son (10) Daughter's BFF (13)
Friend's Family = Husband, Wife, Son, (11), Son (10), Son (5), Mother-in-law, and Father-in-law.

Thanks for your help!

Do you need reservations for 12 people? If so, at this point it might be hard for you to still find things for that week. (Although, I hope I'm very wrong & you get some great ADRs.) Some of our favorite restaurants that have NEVER failed us are:

Whispering Canyon Cafe
50's Prime Time Cafe
Biergarten
Chef Mickey's breakfast
'Ohana
Cape May's Clambake dinner
Breakfast at Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom
Liberty Tree Tavern (My picky DH really likes this place.)
Boma & Tusker House have great breakfast buffets, but they may not work for lunch (TH) or dinner (TH & Boma) if you have non-adventerous eaters.
*I've never eaten at the Wave's breakfast buffet, & I don't like recommending or dissing restaurants that I've never tried, but the selection looks/sounds amazing (especially the sweet potato pancakes w/ pecan honey butter, sticky Mickey cinnamon buns, quiche, cheesey grits, & smoked salmon [1] http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...st-buffet-at-the-wave-of-american-flavors/ & , [2] http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2011/...t-at-the-wave-in-disneys-contemporary-resort/ , & [3] http://land.allears.net/blogs/debwills/2011/01/the_contemporarys_wave_tests_a.html )

Personally, I would avoid:
Planet Hollywood
San Angel Inn
Coral Reef
Yak & Yeti

GOOD LUCK & have a wonderful trip!!!

I also would recommend TH. I have been for lunch, and I'm a picky eater. It's the only buffet I know of at WDW that you can make a PB sandwich, Jam is also available. If you book an ADR between 1pm and 1:40pm, you get reserved seating for Nemo-The Musical.

I also like Kona Cafe, 'Ohana, Crystal Palace, 50's Prime Time Cafe and Akershus (breakfast).
