Hi all! To make a long story short- my DH and I are in a wedding that we really don't want to be in.... and we have to get the couple a present. Does anyone have any cheap ideas? I feel like a bad person asking this!!!!![]()
I really truly never get on a soap box on this board but I don't understand why you are in a wedding (let alone both of you) that you don't want to be in!! That is the real issue, why "pretend" to be a part of a wedding party that you do not want to, I would be having the difficult conversation with the bride/groom and not being in the wedding. Why pull the couple down with people who woud rather not stand up for them and and be an intimate part of their special day.
I am sorry if I am offending you, it is not my intention. I just have my little sister getting married, both my parents passed away and her one freind acting a little like this. She would be much better off not worrying about someone who doesn;t really want to be a part of it and having those that mean the most to her, and want the best for her to be her wedding party. That's why this touched me in a weird way and made me respond.
BTW, I agree with the HomeGoods/Marshalls ideas, high-end Departmens store names and gifts but MUCH cheaper!!
