:bounce: Well, to my surprise my mother took my younger sister and myself away for the weekend to Disney for my 23rd birthday ... well, I had been thinking about buying Seasonal Passes for awhile now and now that we went to EPCOT Monday I have a chance within 7 days to upgrade to a seasons pass for around $136.00 a piece (my fiance' and myself) ... using my sister's and my tickets from Monday... We usually don't like to visit in the summer anyhow (crowds, heat) so we really wouldn't use them in the blackouts for June-August ... but I think we would use them in April, the first week when we return to our time share ... so we would get three days use then... (April 1,2,3) before BO's begin ... and we may take a trip in a few weeks to Disney for Christmas trip ... before the 20th of course when BO's begin... I guess what I'm trying to say is I think it would be worth it, but then again if we didn't have SP's we would only visit one park and it would be $56.00... not 136.00, but this gives us the flex to try all parks and hop between them ... are any other "perks" given to SP holders... ala free parking, food discounts, etc??? We already have SW/Busch Platinum passes, wondering if same type of perks at all... also can you change to PAP during your year for an additional fee, we just don't have the only $500 it would be to do that right now ... any help/advice would be appreciated... I have to make this choice by Tuesday next week....::yes::

We had seasonals for a few years before we had to upgrade to annuals so we could go at the holidays.

Seasonals do not include parking.

Seasonals do include discounts at some restaurants and stores. Some of the restaurant offers are for lunch only, and the list does change. For stores, last time we had Seasonals it was World of Disney and Arribas Brothers only....both at Downtown Disney. That's what it is for Annuals now, but can't promise on Seasonals.

You can always upgrade later to an Annual if you decide to go during a blackout period. What they do is credit what's left on your Seasonal to the purchase of the annual. So instead of paying the difference between then and your original expiration date, you buy a new annual pass, good for 365 days, and the give you a pro-rated credit for what was left on the old one. Not sure exactly how they determine the credit amount, but it always seemed fair when we did it.

You get a newsletter also, that sometimes includes invitations to special events. For instance, we were able to explore Asia in Animal Kingdom one morning before it was officially opened. Access was by showing your pass only, and when we got in we had a light breakfast (free) since it was early (juice and donuts, I think it was). Pretty neat perk, I thought.

HTH,
Katie
