Help! Need 1st FL GF easy access to pool/beach

We will be staying at the GF in October and would appreciate help with a building/room suggestion. I will be travelling with 4 small children- ages 9, 7, 3 and 10 months while my husband is attending a conference at the resort. Ideally, I'd like a room that walks right out to the kiddie pool or beach- but not a room that is extrememly noisy- if that is possible. I am thinking I could sit right outside my room while the little ones are napping, but could still supervise the older kids while they are outside- possible or crazy idea??? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, we are eligible for after 4pm conference rate tickets that are about $25 a day or so. Does anyone know if you can use these in conjunction with the Halloween party at MK?

I can't help you with the room but I do know the after 4 ticket would not do you any good in conjunction with the Halloween Party - that is a hard ticket that does get you in after 4 but you would need that for the entire night - whereas the after 4 convention ticket would let you in after 4 but then you would be out of luck come 7pm on Halloween party nights.

Holly, I don't think it's possible or at least not at a level of safety that I'd be comfortable with if it were my children. The rooms closest to the original pool have the view of the pool blocked by a pool building or landscaping. No rooms are really close to the activity pool.

I doubt very much that your conference tickets would work for the Halloween party....like 99.9% sure. Everyone must buy a separate ticket for that event even those with APs, etc..

Sorry to have only bad news. The great news is that you're staying at the GF....lovely hotel!

You could request Boca Chica, garden view, ground floor room. I believe there is some grassy area between the patio and the pool where your older children could play while the little ones are sleeping. I don't think any room there is going to give you a birds eye view of the entire pool though, if you are considering allowing the 9 and 7 year old to swim. The pool area is very big and there are too many obstructions for a clear view.

I'm not sure if you have the new 3D version of Google earth installed, but that will give you an excellent view of the buildings and any play areas that might be right outside your room.

I haven't stayed there but I have visited the GF a lot. I doubt that any room there will be "noisy". Getting a ground floor room should not be too difficult, they seem to give them more easily if you have infants or toddlers in strollers, and ground floor helps a lot.
